Paperless Clutter!

Today we are going to tackle “Paperless Clutter.”  That’s right “Emails!”  I am embarrassed to say I have emails that dated back in get this:  2009!  Why?  Well, this is my crazy thinking of it.  Just like real “Paper Clutter” I may need it some day or I don’t take time to make it part of my “Paperless Clutter” habit of removing emails and what better day to do this than on Finish It Up Fridays!

A Boring Job/Important Lesson

I started mine last night just to see how many I could get rid of in approximately an hour.  I wasn’t watching the clock real close but it was around an hour.  I have to tell you, it was a rather boring job.

Many of the 9 Habits  that I feel are necessary to keep ourselves, our family and our home running smoothly are BORING.

The Diamond In The Rough

Start looking at the 9 Habits as diamonds in the rough! That’s right! By becoming consistent in your daily habits, you learn to:

Live In The Present!

‘Do What Is In Front Of You’ is a powerful statement. Why? It gets you moving!

Now, I wasn’t that excited to spend an hour of my time deleting old emails.  It is like all the past stuff gets shove up into the present.  Same thing goes with regular “Paper Clutter.”  Nobody likes yesterdays news.

It Got Me Thinking!

I got to work and made it a game to see how many emails I got rid of.  By the end of the hour I believe I got rid of 10,000 useless old news emails and of course many were junk emails.

My computer thanked me for being lighter!  Today as part of my Finish It Up Friday and Cha Cha Cha Day I am going to spend at least 15 minutes deleting email.  Because I haven’t given much attention to this I will have to incorporate this habit into my daily schedule as much as possible.

I Feel Lighter!

You know, even I am feeling lighter! I really think it is all of that past unresolved whatever you may have whether it is paperless clutter or paper clutter, that makes it really difficult to stay in the present and look toward the future.

Today take some time and remove as much “Paperless Clutter”  Email as you have time for.  I wonder how many bags of this “Paperless Clutter” would equal if it was actually ‘Physical Paper Clutter’?  I don’t think I even want to think about it!
