Saving Seeds For The 2014 Season

Everything is wet outside, including my flowers I want for the 2014 Season.  I decided I wasn’t taking a chance and not getting any.  I really liked the sweet peas climbing on the fence so look for more of those next year.  I have Zinnias drying and four o’clocks.  I will get some marigolds as soon as these dry.

I am beginning to realize that gardening is almost year around.  My dining room table is full again, this time it doesn’t look so bad with the whimsies being used to dry the flowers and the seeds.

I know I will get a few months off from gardening.  Now that I have a green house I know I will be starting my flowers earlier than I have before and hope for an early spring.

I should have taken a picture of all that I have yet to do but I don’t want to deter anyone from gardening.  It really is fun.  I am finishing out my third year and have learned so much.  I already have a list going that says ‘Next Year I Am Going To………’  I will even be moving some plants around.

I don’t know how much fall weather we are going to get before the snow is here to stay.  Today the sun tried to peak outside of the clouds and was successful for a very short period of time.  This weekend is supposed to be warmer.  I gotta say that I have been and will continue to garden 15 minutes at a time.  It is the one place I can say that while I am in those 15 minutes, I am in the present moment and time picking out the flowers and shelling some seeds to dry.  It really is a relaxing 15 minute moment.
