Yesterday could be blamed on the fact it was Monday but I would be giving the day a bad rap. Yesterday had nothing to do with it. So what did?
Lack Of Sleep!
Sunday was a roller coaster of emotions with the highlight of my neighbor and my nephew each winning a feature modified stock car race. Fans gathered around them in the pits to congratulate them including myself. It was about 10:30 pm before we were finished.
The local grocery store had a sale on items I frequently eat and Sunday was the last day. My mom and I went there where she bought what she wanted and I did the same. I suppose I got done around 11:30 pm. It had been planned to save myself an extra trip to town. And so the 30 minute drive home began.
I got home and decided since it was late, I would just bring in the perishables. Lucky me that 90% was perishable. One of the sale items was yogurt for .29 each and so I loaded up. Coming Sunday I serve a light lunch for church so I bought the items then. This week is 4-H Achievement Days and that would be replacing my Doo Wop Errand Day on Thursday.
Luckily I had done a Refrigerator Cha Cha Cha! Still I bought 30 yogurts. Why were they so easy to put in the cart and take out of the cart to ring up? Putting them away in my fridge was like I was stacking bricks!
Procrastination did creep in. I decided to take a small break and relax in my recliner. That turned into a 2 hour nap. I got up and finally got everything put away. It took about half an hour. Now I am wide awake so I stay up a couple more hours before I finally went to bed which was 5 am!
I got ready and went to bed. Some sleep is better than no sleep. I asked my dog Lily if she could sleep in so I could get extra zzzz’s. That didn’t happen. She was ready to do her bathroom duties at 7:30 am.
I didn’t feel too bad and figured I had had enough sleep to get me through the day. Was I wrong!
I proceeded to do my weekly habit of Merengue Planning Day to set up my week. Normally it doesn’t take any time at all and if it does I am able to sit and concentrate until it was done. Not this time.
What About Attitude?
My attitude was not bubbling over with positive vibes. No maam! Everything I did was a struggle to get done. What I noticed the most was my increase into……………
Indecision!
I hadn’t had a day of indecision like this in quite some time! Could it be from lack of sleep that kept me in this spiral? There was one decision I finally made that came at the end of the day early evening. That was to mow the yard. It was a non thinking task I could get through.
Today
Today is Tuesday and what a difference a good night’s sleep is! I can’t believe how easy it has been to start my Marilyn’s Way Dance Till You FLY! 9 Habits! Tuesdays are also the day I write and send in the local news for the newspaper. That was even easy! I intend to finish up the second half of my Merengue Planning Day and do Tuesday’s Weekly Habit Freestyle Day where anything I didn’t get done yesterday can be done today along with picking out at least 3 outfits for the week, my 9 Habits, and the extra task of picking green beans from my garden! What a difference a good night’s sleep brings!
