I never know what I am going to write until I sit down. I did know Paper Clutter was going to be on the agenda. I just wasn’t sure in what form.
Then I was looking at my Put Away container I got through Flylady. I wondered when was the last time I went through it? I knew it was mostly paper so here we go! That will be my game.
Phone rings and a friend wants to stop by, no problem except it would be rude to be running the paper shredder while visiting. Instead as I was visiting with him, I sorted my papers. Papers on left to be filed or put away and I created a pile on the right for shredding. I had envelopes I hadn’t even opened. Those are all the unopened mail that I didn’t think I had time to deal with at the time. And one envelope that was opened I pulled out and it had $40 in it! Why do we do these things to ourselves?
Now the next step is to start shredding. I am glad the pile to be shredded is bigger than the one to put away. I am really noticing my hard work efforts are paying off of decluttering paper and honoring this month’s habit.
It is also Family Fun Day and I am working that into my day. Today is the opening day of Pheasant Season. It is our states bird. The churches put on dinners for the hunters each year and is a way to raise money. Tonight I just have to walk across the street. Tomorrow I go to a town about 15 miles away and meet with Mom and her friends. Both will be great meals and so I don’t have to worry about What’s For Dinner for two nights. That makes me feel good.
I have just enough time to get the papers shredded, the paperwork put away and then freshen up to go to the Hunters Dinner. It has been a great day!
Keep Getting Rid of Paper Clutter and Keep FLYing!

I am happy the pile on the right is the one that I shred. It is the bigger pile. |
