Tomorrow will be a very long day. I must wake up much earlier than usual, drive farther and be prepared with questions to ask during each doctor appointment. These are all activities that I do quarterly so they do need additional preparation.
What a perfect time to give my Launch Pad a Makeover! It has been smoldering for about a week now. I think some of it is from the day I mowed. I was in and out throughout the day. One item laying on my Launch Pad are my protective glasses I use when I mow. I also use them to protect my eyes when I attend my nephews modified stock car races. Another item are my leather gloves. I used them at the last race I went to. Shortcakes and a can of Lily’s dog food and a piece of paper I dropped off there when I came home last night. I simply did not put the items away therefore the smoldering spot has become a hot spot. If I don’t take care of it today, come tomorrow morning when I leave for my trip, it could spell disaster.
The only thing that is supposed to be there is my purse and I didn’t even set it down the correct way or zip it up. I am going to give myself a 15 minute declutter session to restore my Launch Pad the way it was intended and that is my purse on the counter and my keys on the hook on the cabinet. While I am at it I am going to do a quick purse boogie double checking I have everything that I need for tomorrow. I will lay down my list of last minute items to place in my purse in the morning like a couple cheese sticks and a bottle or two of water. Tonight I will set out my travel coffee mug to take. I doubt I will have to write a note to take Lily! She won’t let me forget!
The thing I almost forgot to do is put my paperwork for blood tests in my purse. I am so glad I remembered where I put them because I have had the paperwork for almost 6 months. I will let you in on a little secret. I put the paperwork in an envelope and placed it in my Flylady calendar pocket! I am feeling like a genius about right now instead of running around like a chicken with its head cut off tomorrow morning! My clothes are laid out thanks to practicing 86 days of this. Day 87 should be a breeze. Now, all I have to do is go to bed and place my head on my pillow. I won’t get a full 8 hours of sleep but I took that into factor by resting today.
Keep Flying!
