It is my turn to serve at church Sunday. I chose to make ‘Fresh Apple Bread’. I have made it before and it was a hit. Just to make sure, I will be baking ‘Toll House Recipe Chocolate Chip Cookies’ too. And I will be serving cheese and crackers.
Why Just To Be Sure???
I have to admit I don’t bake often enough to be comfortable in this task. It isn’t that I don’t like to bake. I just can’t keep whatever I bake to stay off my hips! The following recipe is something I love to bake and can be served as a breakfast food. This gives me all day to wear the calories off! Here is the recipe:
Without further a do and procrastination, I am off to bake and will deliver photos of my progress ending in baked goods!
Got all the ingredients and tools together. The apple bread batter is mixed up and ready to pour into 2 loaf pans.In the oven they go for 45 minutes @ 350 Degrees. Now, while that is baking it is time to mix up the cookie batch. I place parchment paper first. It is just a preference and drop the cookie dough as evenly as possible. Only 11 minutes left on the apple bread. Great timing for the first batch of chocolate chip cookies. Both are done. I get another cookie sheet out and turn the oven up to 375 degrees. I will be baking 2 batches. The first batch cools on the racks. I make the topping of melted butter, sugar and cinnamon to place on top. Here is the finished product! I am impressed myself!I can’t forget about the Toll House Cookies as a back up plan.
With ‘Fresh Apple Bread’, ‘Toll House Chocolate Cookies’ and a selection of cheeses and crackers, I am sure to be a hit. I can’t believe how calm I am! The first time I had to serve for church I was a nervous wreck. Lesson learned, ‘Practice makes it better!’
