I always get excited the day I plant my vegetable garden. So much hope and anticipation is formed. How will my garden be this year?
I have to say since I reclaimed gardening, I have been very fortunate with having successful gardens the past three years.
What will my 4th year back into gardening be like? Stick around. I plan to keep you updated to the miracle of planting a seed that grows into a plant to harvesting the vegetables at the end of gardening season.
It really is a ‘Circle Of Life’. I think that is why I am so fascinated by it. Without further ado, I am headed out to the garden!
I was out there for 45 minutes and it is hot! It is 89 degrees. Time for a different game plan.
Luckily I know of a different way to get the garden in without getting heat stroke. It is something I take from Marilyn’s Way Dance Till You FLY! System. It is called 15ers or 15 minute spurts of doing something and then a 15 minute break. Now you wouldn’t think one could get very much done doing it that way. For me having fibromyalgia and a chance of heat exhaustion I have no choice.
Three years ago when I decided to take up gardening again after being ill for 5 years I knew if I wanted to do it I was going to have to come up with a plan my way. That is how the name Marilyn’s Way came to be.
I wasn’t going to be able to do it like most gardeners do. Yet, I wasn’t ready to give it up. I wanted to be outdoors in the summer after spending all winter cooped up. I was determined. Instead I have learned to do a little at a time and then come back into my home to take a break and do one of my nine habits I do each day to keep my home from getting cluttered and disorganized.
I am cooled off and hydrated with Powerade Zero. Off to the garden I go again. I want to stay out there for 30 minutes but if it is only 15 minutes I can handle I will do it that way. I have the garden plan in my head so now I am ready to start planting.
Stay tuned. Tomorrow I will show you what I get done. Happy Gardening!
Will you be gardening this year? I would love to know how you do it your way!

Marilyn,
this is a great post. I used to do gardening, but those flies would bite the heck out me! It was a lot of work, but very rewarding and I think taking those breaks are really important! I like how you write too, your personality comes across.. it’s authentic. Love it!!!
Thank you Lesly! I just write from the heart and enjoy what I am doing. Thank you for commenting.
