Habit 1
The easiest way to ‘Get Dressed To Shoes’ is to practice habit 8 ‘Lay Out Your Clothes.
Habit 2
Swish and swipe when you get dressed to shoes. You have already made at least two trips to the bathroom by then.
Habit 3
What’s for dinner? You can easily think about that right after you swish and swipe. More than likely you will be heading to the kitchen to get that cup of coffee. Take out what you plan to make for dinner then.
Habit 4
After that cup of coffee, go get a load of clothes to put in the washer.
Habit 5
Do some decluttering while the laundry is going. Cha! Cha! Cha!
Habit 6
Make dinner early. You need to have the energy to do the last three habits. While you are at it, fill up your sink with hot soapy water and wash some of the dishes you use as you cook. There is enough waiting time before dinner is ready.
Habit 7
Shining your sink will be so much easier when you have all your preparation dishes washed, dried and put away. You either rinse off the plates and utensils and glasses to place in the dishwasher or wash them in the sink, dry and put away. Now you have time to shine your sink. Get a sign that says, “Kitchen Is Closed”
Habit 8
Lay out your clothes. If you did a load of laundry it is more likely you will find some of your clothes there to lay out. It is a fact that we wear 20% of the clothes we own 80% of the time.
Habit 9
Get your Launch Pad Ready. This is simply a place you keep things that will be going with you the next day. You will sleep so much better knowing where your keys are and your purse and that important piece of paper you plan to take on your appointment.
Will these nine ways keep you practicing the nine habits each day every day? That will be up to you. I have tried to lay it out for you to see how easily one habit overlaps the other and there is plenty of time for breaks. So give it a try with an open mind. You will be glad you did.
