MONDAY, AUGUST 5TH, 2013 (This is long again but worth the read. I promise tomorrow will be short. I promise! I feel the need to write some of these things especially for new members to understand my style and how I look at things because some of it is different from Flylady and if you have trouble with Flylady my Dance Till You FLY! mw system is another option for you to look at. The neat thing is that it is influenced by flylady because she does have great things and she has a website with a wealth of information on it. I am one person who found her and also have a disability so I am not able to do all that she asks. I know there are some of you like me in the same situation and I don’t want you to give up on yourself. I want you to find a way for you to feel accomplished with what you do do.)

For myself, besides getting my Nine Habits Each Day Every Day done which the forms are on the top. I am going to do ‘The Scoop and Cha Cha Cha today and phone calls from my planning session. I know I can’t make you do them. I can only suggest them. What I want you to know is I found Flylady in 2005 and it wasn’t until I committed myself to Get Dressed To Shoes every day that much of this clicked. I have been doing this for almost 3 years now simply because I couldn’t keep up with all that Flylady asks us to do and would feel overwhelmed. So I have been working on this with all of you in mind and found if you can practice doing these Nine Habits Each Day Every Day it will get your home to FUNCTION again so you can do Flylady related things she asks you to do like she has everyone doing something different each day for her August Monthly Habit Laundry. It is a great idea but it doesn’t work for me. The thought of having to do something extra besides what I do seems to overwhelm me. My Dance Till You FLY! mw System that has a dance related theme as I like to make things fun is more streamlined. It seems to motivate me more when I say I am going to do The Scoop and Cha Cha Cha verses pupa which means pick up put away for flylady. I put some fun music on and the way I go. I kind of like to call it a PreFlylady system as she is in the business of this and I am not. I just want to be the one to help you get started and learn about consistency something I never had my entire live except for the past 3 years. I don’t always get all Nine Habits done each day. The ones are load of laundry a day as I tend not to have a load daily, my launch pad is set to get out the door quickly but I would also like to have a launch pad set up for the things I plan to do the next day especially when it comes to planning and having to sit down and make phone calls and pay bills. The other one is that I don’t always make dinner ever day and snack instead. I don’t like it when I do it that way because it does throw me off and it is never the next day. It is usually 2 days from then that it effects me. My Weekly Mambo one I will be doing today are floors. Gardening can really do a number on floors. I am glad I don’t have carpet. So as you can see I have a very busy week and the difference is that I WANT to get things done. Joyce Foster Mom is coming Wednesday so we will be spending time together, tomorrow I am going to get my hair frosted as I am just not comfortable with it dark and the curl doesn’t stay, I also have to help make macaroni salad at the church for 4-H Achievement Days where Thursday night will be the event. In between all of this is gardening. So, I just wanted to clarify the many things happening this week and why I won’t be on as much and it isn’t that I am not interested in your progress as I really am. I’m probably going to miss out on some of the great things you all will be doing and that part I don’t like but it is just a week and I PROMISE tomorrow my daily message in this thread will be short. Have a terrific week one day at a time and always know you have the power to give yourself permission to start your day over. If it is 3
pm and you are still in your pjs, don’t give up for the day, just get out of them and put regular clothes on. Just by doing this 2 other habits are associated with it that you will get done. We are not talking dressing up. I am simply talking clothes that are not pjs. Right now I am wearing a sports bra with a tank top and a pair of denim elastic waist shorts on. In the summer the only make up I use when I am staying home is mascara and lipstick that is sheer. So you see you can make this easy on yourself or hard on yourself. The choice is yours. I spent too many years making this thing we call housecleaning too hard on myself and simply go around in circles to fall into a heap at the end of the day. Today I choose not to. I am always tired by end of day but I have learned to begin thinking of all the things I did accomplish for the day instead of the LONG list that I DIDN’T GET DONE. That is what this thread is all about. I want you to learn to feel the feeling of accomplishment even if all you got done was one or two things. They each were done by putting one step in front of the other. Have a great Monday!
