There are various reasons one has a bad day and it is never about the day they are having it. In fact most likely it is about what they have been doing the past three days. That is really all the further one has to look back to find your answer if you can be honest with yourself.
One of the things that I write about are the ‘Nine Habits Each Day Every Day.’ Now this just didn’t happen out of the blue. It happened by trying different habits until I was able to find nine, three for each routine that I could commit to and make sure these habits were done or I had allotted time in my day to do these. By doing this, I could tell myself I never have to feel like I have had a bad day. Why? Because I got myself dressed to shoes and ready for the day. I swished and swiped my bathroom that I KNOW is going to get used many times in one day, and I have decided what was for dinner so I could make sure I had the appropriate ingredients. Now, I can allow myself some ‘Me Time.’ Thirty minutes usually works.
Next, I am going to throw a load of clothes in the washer. While this is going on, I can declutter for at least 15 minutes or I can do a little more because the washing machine running takes around 30-45 minutes. Next, it is time to put them in the dryer. Give yourself another 30 minute break of just ‘Me Time.’ The clothes will usually be dry by then.
So now it is time to get the clothes out and start folding them, hanging them and putting them away. Depending on the size of the load, at most it should take you 30 minutes.
Now you have some time to work on a special project if you want. Watch the time because you want to start dinner early so you have the energy to clean up and shine your sink. When you shine your sink, the kitchen is now officially closed.
Whatever didn’t get done, now is the time to just let it go. Why? Because you are now preparing for the coming day so you won’t have to go through those bad days you used to have. You select the clothes to lay out to wear for the next day and then gather everything your are going to need as well and you place it on your Launch Pad. Now you can give yourself another 30 minutes of ‘Me Time.’ Unwind from the day and tell yourself you had a great day. Why? Because you took care of your basic needs of taking care of yourself, your family and your home. If you continue to focus on these nine habits, they become automatic and that FREES up your time for all those projects that are on your Progressive Task List for each Zone of your home and one for you. Now I don’t know about you, but I think this is a good day! You have worked in 90 minutes of ‘Me Time’ to boot! It is time to quit beating yourself up looking at all the things that you DIDN’T get done and begin to PRAISE yourself for the things that you DID get done. Does this work? Yes! There are many members that are so excited that it works. They realize there is more to do but now they NEVER have to feel like they are having a bad day again.
