Things Can Happen So Fast That All We Can Do Is “Dance Till You FLY!”

Imagine Eggnog In This Cup With A Dash Of Nutmeg On Top!

As tired as I am, I just feel the need to write you something in my “Dance Till You FLY!” blog!

Yes, I am tired from my outing yesterday more than usual.  The difference is for some reason I feel happy!  Nothing out of the unusual happened during my Errand Day.  In fact I didn’t win playing Skip Bo with Mom last night.

One thing that keeps popping in my head is as I ran around getting my errands and some errands for mom, I remembered to get a quart of Eggnog.  This is a new tradition we started last year.  It was one of those that happened by chance. When I got to Mom’s we had to have our “2nd Annual Toasting to the Holidays with Eggnog.”  We even drink it in one of many of my mom’s pretty clear and neatly shaped mugs. Of course a sprinkle of nutmeg must be put on the top for the final touch.  Then we toast to another year kicking off the holidays and silently in my mind being grateful for another year that my mom is still with me.  She enjoys Christmas so much.  We have Santa come to the house for her great grandchildren and always likes to place a joke on one of the grandchildren each year by making them sit on Santa’s lap as they did years ago.

Then out of the blue we as a country and people get shocking news of another mass killing at an elementary school.  Not only that there were children in China Elementary School who were stabbed.

Things can change in an instant.  We can also change ourselves in an instant if we believe.  I don’t understand the why’s of what happened today and sometimes there just isn’t an answer for it.  I listened on television for awhile and listened to the President’s speech.  Then I made a decision that all I could do for these families is light a candle.  I hope all of you do this to help with all the grieving parents we have in our nation right now and even in our world.  Light a candle for these families and for yourself.  It will help all of us heal.  We should always remember that the power of the flame is eternal, perpetual and endless.

I made the decision to light my candle and change from the news channel and checked to see what movies were on.  I found one of my favorites.  It is “Grumpy Old Men.”  I can’t even begin the number of times I have seen this movie.  In fact it is one of my favorite movies to “Dance Till You FLY!”  I think this movie has it all that has happened today.  It seems to feel right for me and while I am watching and listening this wonderful movie, I can “Dance Till I FLY!”  Find something for yourself to make this horrifying day for our country and our world to not let the ones that did the act have all the power.  Instead, light a candle and “Dance Till You FLY!”
