Laundry Pileup After The Holidays?

As you can see, somehow the laundry piled up on me over the holidays.  I had so much fun with my great niece and nephews that I can honestly say they wore me out!  Their ages are 2, 3, and 4 years old 4 in total.  Now that’s a lot of energy and Santa came and oh how happy some were where one was a bit unsure.

Prior to the holidays, I spent time at Mom’s house helping her get ready for Christmas Eve.  We had lots of presents to wrap and get the tables set up.  My niece was bringing the main entree.  All Mom had to do was make her famous deviled eggs and Oyster Stew.  My sister in laws brought something too.

Add up the time I spent away from my home and 2 days in a row of being around a large group of people my family, well laundry has been the least on my mind.  I have had to rest up and I am doing this.

What did I do instead to ensure that I would continue to FLY during this recovery phase?  Well, I scaled down.  I made sure I did my Before Bedtime Routine and Morning Routine.  Afternoon routine of a load of laundry was replaced with an afternoon nap.

Last night when I put my clothes in the hamper I noticed the lid didn’t go all the way down.  I guess this is an indication something is going to have to be done because overflowing trash cans and overflowing laundry baskets are both pet peeves of mine.

So how does Laundry and Dance Till You FLY fit together?  For one thing it is about getting back into the habit of it and the next thing is I have to remember if I am going to do a load of laundry I had better be prepared to do the dance. Not just part of it.  It means:

Sort
Wash
Dry
Fold
Put Away
Are you ready to do that?  I am not today because I wrote this blog instead.  Tomorrow after church I will do 1 load of laundry.  I am not going to make a full day of this.  I just want to Dance Till I FLY again.  There are other habits I have made more of a priority and that is:
Lay My Clothes Out
Get My Coffee Ready For Morning
Shine My Sink

Exercise
Get Dressed To Shoes Hair and Makeup
Swish and Swipe
Granted you can’t keep a clean house just doing this.  What I am saying for me by always, always doing these habits daily no matter what I feel like I will be able to start dancing.  They are things for example I have learned and doesn’t take much thought or time:
If you take it out, put it back
Doing a 25 fling boogie just for trash
Clearing off a your “Launch Pad”
If you ever wondered how I did this, here it is.  I no longer beat myself up over a hot spot or if laundry does for some reason get piled up.  Instead I just start to “Dance Till I FLY!”  What dance means to me is to move just do anything to get moving again.  Dance seems to be the best way to get good feelings starting to flow through you body even if it is a moment.  What FLY means to me is for me to “First Love Yourself”
Dance Till You FLY!
