Lily’s Snake Wrangling Aftermath Epilogue

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

The other night when I couldn’t get Lily in so we could go to bed fiasco has come to an end.  I was mowing her play area today and I come upon the snake.  Of course I screamed.  I had forgotten about it.  Actually I believe I tried to wish it away the other night so I wouldn’t have to deal with the thing.  No such luck!  This is also one time I hate wearing bifocal glasses too because at first I thought the stripes were moving, thus the scream came out of me.

Nature was already taking its course at decomposing.  I had to get the thing out of the play area or the next thing that will happen is Lily will decide to roll on it.  Why do dogs do that?  Even if there is a reason for it, I still think it something they don’t necessarily need to do.  But then why do dogs have to sniff each others private business?

I got the pooper scooper this time and carried it out into the grove of trees on the back lot.  I gagged all the way too.  People have either a love or hate relationship with a snake.  Mine is hate.  The actual feeling is fear. If anyone has watched the movie Anaconda The Hunt For The Blood Orchid it is one of the scariest movies.

So this is the Epilogue from my late night excitement.  This is where the story ends.  Apparently the snake did not make it and that was a big one!  I just hope I don’t have to go through this again anytime soon.  I don’t think my stomach could take it or the neighbors hearing me scream!  There’s one thing I do know.  I am positive this will happen again as long as Lily is around.  Let’s just hope this is an annual thing and I have a year to recover.  That is what I am wishing for.  I doubt that Lily feels the same way!
Keep Flying!  Until Next Time…..

  1. I will send my father up there. He is so afraid of snakes there won’t be anything left! He’s been known to run across the yard with a hoe raised, and chop them into little tiny pieces!
