October’s Monthly Habit Paper Clutter 15 Minutes At A Time

Posted on Posted in Flying with Fibromyalgia, The Flylady

I put progress pictures of my paper clutter in The Flylady Way Closed Group.  No one likes to show their clutter.  Not even me.  But in order for this to be real, sometimes certain things must be done.

I have had a life long struggle with paper clutter.  Many of us do.  We are an “Information Overload Society” and I doubt it will ever get better.  We just have to learn how to adjust our minds and our approach to this one subject that can take a nice looking home and turn it into a mess.  It doesn’t take much either and when you are changing your approach to this neverending problem, how do you do it?

None other than 15 Minutes At A Time

I have three pictures to show.  The first two are 15 minute sessions each.  The third one equals a 30 minute session.  I did take this 30 minutes and break it up into two 15 minute sessions.  It kept me from becoming overwhelmed.
15 Minutes

15 Minutes

What does that total?  60 Minutes Worth Of Work, Broken Down To 15 Minutes At A Time!

Try it in honor of Flylady’s October Habit Paper Clutter.

Keep Flying!

  1. You’re definitely not alone. Paper is one of the most challenging things to organize. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and procrastinating, my biggest advice would be to chip away at it a little bit at a time. Set the timer for fifteen minutes, pick a box to sort through, and see how much you can recycle or shred before the timer goes off. When the timer dings, if you feel like doing more, set it again. And if you’re done, give yourself permission to stop. To see more info please visit essayhogwarts.com/term-paper.
