Playing In The Dirt: Tulips

Posted on Posted in Gardening, Marilyns Way, Organization, The Flylady

The rain stopped and I felt like getting some fresh air and just see what was going on in my gardens.  One is a new garden.  I am making it so it is in my view every time I walk into the kitchen and glance outside.  That will keep me smiling!

A few days ago I started tilling.  I also sprayed with Weed and Grass Killer to make it easier on me.  The ground was very hard due to no moisture.  It was hard work and knew I couldn’t get it done in the time period I allowed.  I could however get this done if I kept doing 15 minute segments.  So that is what I am continuing to do.  Today I raked the dead grass away, put it in my cart to haul away.

I decided to take the scenic route back to the house.  I wanted to check on the bulbs I planted last fall.  As I approached the garden I saw something red!  It was my mature tulip plant that keeps company with my peonies!  I have got to take a picture of this lone Tulip Plant with three flowers coming in bloom!  So that is what I did to share with you!

If you are gardener you will understand these pictures.  They are filled with hope, beauty and anticipation.  I hope you will follow me through my 2012 Gardening Season.  It is going to be a great year!

Three Tulips Blooming

I Like It That The Center Is Yellow.  I Wonder What Color My Young Purple Tulips Will Be.

My Peonies Have Sprouted Up Well.  In The Foreground Are My Plants I Planted Last Fall.

My New Flower Garden I Am Working On 15 Minutes At A Time.  My Rhubard Is Growing Nicely.

It Will Be Just The Right Size When It Is Time To Plant.
