Shout Out To All My FLYsisters!

Today I was outside for most of the day.  It is very windy out.  My exercise has been another brickabout.  I believe I got another 50 bricks or so.  There is a brick building across the street from my house that has been demolished.  We are free to take the bricks if we want them.  I am using them as borders around my  flower gardens and plants along the side of the house.  I drove the blazer by the house where I am going to put them and lined them up.  It will have to be another day when I dig and get them laid in nicely.  Another place I will use some is to make a border around my Pet Cemetery.  All I know is it certainly has been a workout!  I try to do squats so I am using my legs more than my back.  I found out by chance when I was getting the bricks there probably is a snake den.  I saw three of them.  They were small.  You know then I started selecting my bricks that were high!  I still have to unload the rest from my blazer and I will take them out back to the cemetery for my pets.  It is Memorial Day and today is to remember loved ones and veterans that keep us safe.  Amazing how this worked out.

I also trimmed some trees and did a weedabout.  That wind wore me out.  Just got the basics done in the house.  This is really a challenge this time of year doing both.  The purpose of this blog is to give a shout out  to all the flysisters that are SAHM, FLYing with Disabilities, Working Outside the home with and without children.  This is a challenge and more and more I am believing in establishing 3 habits for each routine with BBR and MR the most important.

The other thing I have learned is about this clutter thing.  We have to understand and accept the amount of space we are living in and adjust accordingly.  That is why we must never compare ourselves to others.  This FLYing is about finding your own way that will work for you and when you do praise yourself!  We all have busy seasons and we are in one right now.   Instead of giving up on FLYing completely, make a short list of habits that you can commit to yourself during this time because just like there are busy seasons, there are slow seasons.  Only you know what they are for you.

Tonight and for the entire series I will be watching Hatfields & McCoys.  Be aware of the things they kept in their homes and how they lived.  There will be changes as this story is over a long time period.  I know I sure am.  Let’s make a discussion of this when the series is over to whom that plan to watch it. Maybe we will learn what is important to keep and what we can bless on to others.  It may just give us an incentive to declutter even more.

Keep FLYing!
Marilyn

Where I am getting my used bricks.  I hauled approximately 50 or so today.

It all started with making this new flower garden bed and has led to bordering my flowers against my house.

  1. Yay! Go you! I too use reclaimed bricks as a border in our yard and I made a path up to the kids playhouse with them too. They are from a very old school here that was torn down before either my DH or I was around and the prev owners of OUR house had them all stacked up under the kitchen porch to keep them out of the weather and they used them as repairs, we probably have 300-400 of them!
