Thanksgiving A Time To Be Thankful For Our Habits And Routines

For all who celebrate Thanksgiving this Thursday, it is going to be a hectic week.  Some are having your celebration at your home.  Some are invited to attend elsewhere.  Some may volunteer at the Community Center.  However it may be, this week is going to be different than most.

Habits And Routines May Have To Be Adjusted
It happens!  Just do the best you can!  I believe I am going to switch my “Plan and Play Day” to tomorrow.  I have some important items that need to be addressed before Thanksgiving and I just feel better doing it tomorrow, especially my planning.  I have already started my Weekly Home Blessing where I swept all the floors and used Mop and Glow in the Living Room.

Lily was outside while I was doing this and I thought is was a good idea.  She would be out of my way.  Frederick was sitting in my chair.  I was working on writing this blog while it was drying.  Then I heard a scratch at the door telling me she was ready to come in.  I was involved in this blog.

Lily was walking all around the house looking for a place to lay.  Problem was I had taken all the rugs up to sweep and mop the Living Room floor and hadn’t put them back down yet.  So I figure it was dry.  I get up and go to the Living Room to lay the rugs back down and what did I see but a set of paw prints none other than Lily’s.  I shook my head and thought yes, housework is never ending.  I didn’t take into the consideration that her paws may have some dirt on them and in a “Perfect” world, I would have wiped her feet.

So what are you going to do?  You really can’t blame Lily.  She was just being Lily.  If there is one thing that I am thankful for this Thanksgiving is my pets as Frederick joined Lily and me almost 4 months ago.  They make me laugh every day.

You may get into a situation like I just did.  I still need to mop the Kitchen and Dining Room floors so will take care of it then which will be after I post this blog.  Instead of getting upset, try just being thankful for all that you have in your life, pets and all!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Lily’s Paw Prints Looking For a Place To Lay Down!  It is just this narrow strip where she must have  rubbered herself along the couch.   That will be easy to fix.
