Note:  I can’t seem to get an image on here of the house and notebook.  Google changed something and I can’t figure it out.  So if you want to see an album of the Little House click on this link The Traveling House Becomes A Home!

I have been racking my brain these first days of January trying to think of a way that I could get members and fans of Marilyn’s Way To Organization For Home And Garden who created the system influenced by The FlyLady along with my education in BS of Home Economics and experiences Dance Till You FLY mw that features Nine Habits Each Day Every Day .  I also have a page and blog called The Flylady Way when I first started this journey.  I still have the page because many still think of me ‘The Flylady Way’ and I don’t mind because it is how I got to Marilyn’s Way Marilyn’s Way Too! and then started the blog for my system Dance Till You FLY! mw.  The very beginning of this journey started in 2005.  It wasn’t until I began using the tool Facebook in late 2010 to communicate with other flybabies that my journey really took off.

I am just so happy that FlyLady came into my life.  In fact, November of 2012 her and her assistant Michele came all the way from Brevard, North Carolina to see me in Garden City, South Dakota!  The FlyLady was going to be speaking at a conference in Rochester, Minnesota and worked me into their trip!  I am still feeling high from them stopping by to visit me.

How this all came about was that I was having trouble ‘Getting Dressed To Shoes’ one of Flylady’s monthly habits.  You see I had spent the last five years in pajamas.  Why do I need to get dressed? I don’t go anywhere and nobody stops by.  Yes I put up a very big wall around my house and called it ‘Fort Marilyn’.  I had built up a big enough wall of clutter to keep everyone but my mother and a friend in my house.  I kept strange sleeping hours.  After all, I was in my pajamas and could sleep anytime I wanted.  I also have health issues and the main one is Fibromyalgia.  That is what kept me in my pajamas because I was always tired and I always hurt.

I got about three months of solid communicating with other flybabies before I took the big leap.  March is Flylady’s monthly habit to ‘Get Dressed To Shoes.’  It was 2011 and I decided I was going to do this no matter what.  By Day 9 I almost didn’t do the habit.  The honeymoon period was over.  I managed to ‘Get Dressed To Shoes, Hair and Make up’ for eight days.  That was a good solid week.  Day nine I struggled to get dressed to shoes.  It took me half of the morning but I got it done.

Since it was such a struggle, I had to come up with something to get me to day ten.  That is when I posted my first picture of myself ‘Dressed To Shoes, Hair, and Makeup’ that was publicly documented for 436 consecutive days!  Today I still get dressed to shoes, hair and make up.

Since all of this has taken place I have Facebook pages, groups, and also blogs.  It has been a wonderful journey!  I want so others to get to the point where I am so badly because it has certainly been a ‘Life Changing Experience’. What could I do to get others as excited as I am about FLYing?  So I have been letting my subconcious go to work while I continue to FLY.  Today the idea happened.  It was triggered by a post I was tagged in.  So then I really got to thinking.  I wanted to do this with my groups and my fans but what would it be?  Then the ‘aha’ moment hit like a freight train.  One of the advantages of FLYing is that finally you get your life back so you can pick up interests that you enjoy.  Mine has been gardening and also making Garden Whimsies from repurposed dishes.  It was from their that ‘The Traveling House Becomes A Home!’  I have a small ceramic house that I was going to use to create one of my whimsies.  Instead it screamed to me, “I want to travel to other Foster Sisters’ homes! Make sure to send a notebook and pen with me so they can write what FLYing Marilyn’s Way has done for them.”  So, there you have it!  The following are pictures of this house that will travel with a guest book to homes of Foster Sisters and fans who want to participate.  You would keep this little house and guest/notebook for one week.  You would take a picture of it by your shiny sink and another of your choice to post a photo in the group or fan page Marilyn’s Way To Organization For Home And Garden .  At the end of the week you would write something you learned from the experience or why FLYing means so much to you and that you wish for the best to the next home this little house and notebook would go to. To participate in this you could email me at mfoster102@hotmail.com or personal message me on my personal Facebook page or let me know in the group.  You could also contact me on my open fan page that you would like to participate.  The cost to you would be the shipping and handling to mail the little house and notebook to the next Foster Sister or Fan.  The following are pictures of the little house and notebook.
