Try Out Juicing!

Everyone is in the wanting to lose weight mode.  It is that time of year.  I know I overindulged this past holiday.  I also got hung up on bread which I am trying to get away from it and eat it in sandwich form only.  No more buttered toast!  The toaster is put away and in its place will be the Juicer.
Just like anything else one has to get a mindset before going forward.  Through Flylady I have learned to keep out the appliances I use to free up more counter space.
You see, I bought a big box of apples from FFA (Future Farmers of America) this year with the intention to juice so it was time to get busy.
Today I made a juice out of 3 apples, 3 carrots, and 2 celery.  It actually tastes great!  I found it works so much better if I start with a sink full of hot soapy water.  I also have an apple corer, peeler for carrots and a sharp knife.  When I am done juicing I put the remains of the fruits and vegetables into an ice cream pail and take it out to my compost bin.  The next thing I do is wash, dry and put the juicer back together ready for the next time.  It is so easy when one does it right away.  Then I pour my juice in a pretty glass and ENJOY!  Your body will enjoy it too!
Prepare the fruit, vegetables, juice and…

Enjoy!!!

  1. Juicing is awesome!!! Little tips I’ve learned is to use green apples, as they have a lower sugar content than other apples. Also use lemons (peeled of course), parsley, beets (a little messy but good for you), kale, cucumbers. These are all so good for you!!! Enjoy!

  2. I love my Breville. I have been juicing (to supplement an already healthy diet) for a year now, and absolutely love my Mean Green. I’m shocked I am not bored with it already. It seems my body has not become bored with the nutrients it needs. My favorite “additive” is a tablespoon or two of walnut or flax oil-yummy.
