Where Do I Start?

Posted on Posted in Flying with Fibromyalgia, Kitchen, Nutrition, Organization, The Flylady, The Flylady Way

I am big on 3’s.  In fact in order for me to continue getting “Dressed To Shoes Hair and Makeup” I had to come up with a Daily Routine that I would always, always do no matter if it took me all day.  I still do it.  Most days I do so much more and to me those are what I call gifts.

Most of our lives are not on an even keel.  There are births, deaths, events and the unexpected.  So where do I start when it comes to keeping up my home through this?

Flylady says it all starts with your sink.  I am in total agreement to this.  I was stubborn though.  I became a member in 2005 and have had spurts where I kept the sink shining.  Then something happens and here we go again.  It wasn’t until December 25, 2010 I decided I was going to practice this sink thing.  January’s Habit is Shining Your Sink.  My sink has been shining ever since.

There’s more to this than just shining your sink you may think.  I thought it also.  The problem is I wanted to make this really hard.  Not really.  Just unconsciously because then I would have worth.  I say Poppycock!

The following pictures are my 3 Habits for Each Routine I Always, Always Do.  I have added things as I have gone.  When I know I am doing too much is when these 3 habits for each routine could be threatened, I drop everything and make sure I have guarded this Daily Routine like it is a Treasure.  Without further a do, here it is.

If you can start with practicing these nine different habits and make them a part of you, then you will be able to find your own way!

  1. I use PicMonkey It seems to be the easiest. They are collages and yes I am ADD myself so pictures work best for me. When someone say key I think of a picture of a key first.

  2. How do you do your pictures? I would love to do something similar to put in my control journal and maybe make a few for my kids…DS13 has ADHD and it seems he does pictures better than being verbally remindeded each time 🙂 I find doing three things at time "de-clutters" the mind!!

  3. I agree with the above comment, even when I try to wake up before my early bird kids it seldom works and with getting myself dressed to shoes, swish and swipe and getting them ready I often run out of time for laundry but have plenty of time to do it later when my day care kiddos are napping! What a great idea to just accept that!

  4. I like how you have broken this up. I find that I never have time to do a load of laundry in the morning – how wonderfully simple to make it an "afternoon routine?"
