On the evening of the 8th day of our current monthly event that goes on in Marilyn’s Way I almost gave up on the whole getting dressed to shoes way back in March of 2011. Day 9 I made it but I really didn’t think I was going to get to Day 10 unless I did something different. On Day 10 was the first day I took a photo of myself dressed to shoes hair and make up that was publicly documented for 436 consecutive days. I still get dressed to shoes hair and make up each day.
Day 9 was such a difficult day for me. I had practiced this habit for 7 days. That is a week. I barely made it to Day 8. By day 9 I felt like the honeymoon period was over and I didn’t know what I could do to spark things up. Then I got the idea of the daily photo with a mini blog and it worked. Marilyn’s Way To Organization For Home And Garden (c) 2014 was born.
Tomorrow is Day 9 of our monthly event. Please, don’t quit. Don’t give up. There will be more of these days. The next one for me was Day 17. It seemed that about every 9 Days I would struggle. Once I realized this I made it a point to be kind to myself every 9 days and for some reason it worked.
Since then Nine Habits Each Day Every Day was born. It is simply 3 habits that overlap each other for each of the day’s 3 routines. It is a known fact that we can only juggle 3 things at one time. After that it simply is to much for one moment. I have learned to do lots of threes since I learned this piece of information. I learned to pick out three outfits at a time and of course my routines are grouped in threes.
I don’t know if there really is any sort of sense to this theory. I do know many who have tried the nines are happier than they have been for a long time because there seems to be some sort magic in the threes and the nines.
