Zone 2 – The Kitchen

Now that we spent time on our entry way and dining room the last few days, this entire week is devoted to our kitchen.  There is a reason the Kitchen is always in week 2 of each month.  It is where we spend the most time in therefore the place that can easily get messy and cluttered.  If you are practicing the nine habits each day every day then the kitchen won’t be such an issue.  It will just need things like wiping down the cabinets and always start in the area where food is prepared.  That is where my cabinets seem to get the dirtiest.  It is also a good time to give the refrigerator a good cleaning.  If you are doing this in your weekly habits the day before grocery shopping, you fridge won’t take that long.  This is also the time to wipe knobs and handles and faucets.  At the end of the week it is good to give the floor a good sweeping and then scrubbing to make it easier to take care of the rest of the month.

These are different types of tasks you can do this week in zone 2 – The Kitchen.  Remember, the nines come first and if you have been consistent with them, zone work won’t be an issue.  The golden rule is ALWAYS Declutter First, Detail Clean is second and you can’t go wrong.
