If you haven’t gotten your notebook or 3 ring binder please get it this week to complete the series.  The purpose of the notebook/binder is to have everything pertaining to decluttering, cleaning and organizing your home all in one place.  As I teach you the system you will also be building a Marilyn’s Way Dance Till You FLY! Home Journal that will have everything you need.  This is also called ‘Your Dance Card’.

Daily Habits For You And Your Family

Each day you will have nine daily habits and one weekly habit.  The habits include getting dressed to shoes, deciding on ‘What’s For Dinner?’ along with making dinner.  These are the habits that are focused on you and your family.  We all have to eat at least one decent meal a day and getting dressed to shoes makes one ready for the day.

Daily Habits For Your Home

The rest of the habits are ones that are focused on your home.  If you have lots to declutter, my suggestion is to keep the rest of your life as simple as possible.

Consider A FLYing Wardrobe

This simply means wearing an outfit you can associate with FLYing.  Mine is usually a tank top and a pair of jeans.  A shirt to throw on is always nearby if I would have to run to the store.  My jeans are also ones that are comfortable.  You don’t want to feel restricted when you are going to ‘Dance Till You FLY!’

Weekly Habit On Specific Days

The weekly habit on specific days is what is going to make your world go round.  They are simply maintenance habits.  We all need to set aside time to plan our week.  Whatever day is specified for your errands, the day before is best for meal planning, grocery list making and doing a  refrigerator Cha Cha Cha.   Whatever day your errands are, the day after is paperwork and cha cha cha your purse and car.  It is like finishing up the week.

Consider having a FLYing Wardrobe to simplify decluttering,  cleaning and organizing your home.  Wearing a simple top and bottom will be one less thing to have to think about each day.

Decide if you are one that does your Doo Wop Errand Day the same day each week or if it varies from week to week.  This will help you in your planning style.

Have you got your notebook/binder to complete the series?  Please buy one this week.

  1. I am not your target audience, Marilyn. I live alone and do what I darn well please, whenever I want. I wear jeans and tshirts while working at home for comfort. But from 2000 to 2010 I took care of my elderly mother and had to devise a lot of shortcuts and reminder methods in order to take care of two households and two sets of finances. Simplicity was my keyword. Just keep it simple.

    1. Exactly Mary. You are doing it your way. That is really what I am trying to get across to others. Have a set of basic habits and then create it for yourself. I understand what you mean about target audience. That was a wonderful thing that you did for your mother and yes simplicity is the keyword. I have been simplifying as much as possible. There is only so much one needs. Thank you for commenting.
