What Will Your Choice Of Dance Be Today Till You FLY?

The holidays are over.  Our next one is Valentine’s Day where we work.  We don’t get it off but it is a holiday.  In fact, today is January 14th.  We are one month from it.

My experience has been that it seems to be a down time for many and we just exist.  It is two weeks into the New Year and the resolutions have been broken and we are back to our old selves again.  Now we just ride out it out until we have something to celebrate again and that is Valentine’s Day.

I have felt that feeling today.  Granted yesterday was a big day for me going to church and then a birthday party.  Fibromyalgia likes to keep me all to its self letting me do maybe one thing in a day but two things. Then it gets jealous.  Today I am under its spell again with exhaustion.

I don’t want this!  I just don’t!  My head feels like a football and my body that has been hit once too many times in the game.  Even my mind can’t seem to get moving today.

Today is Weekly House Blessing Day and I have got to tell you, I just don’t have it in me today.  So I have decided for myself personally to be Plan and Play day except I am replacing Play with rest and water and simple healthy foods.  I think that is what my body is screaming to me and today I have finally heard it.

I am learning, that Monday and Tuesday weekly habits can be flexible and this week I am going to switch them around after a rough time starting to dance.  And then I think, there are all types of dancing!  We have slow dances, fast dances, and everything in between!  

Today I am going to opt with the slow dance today and spend my time planning for the week.  While I do this I am concentrating as to what is going into my body.  No soda, less coffee and more water as I do my planning.  In fact, the water may just give me the energy to juice in which that will help as well.

Birthday parties and any type of party is fun.  In fact if we want we can make cleaning our homes a party.  We just have to remember if when we were partying and we didn’t drink our water and had different foods than we normally eat, our body is going to let us know.  We just have to be able to hear what it’s saying so we can choose the type of dance that will continue to allow us to “Dance Till You FLY!”

  1. hey marilyn,i too have fibro,11 years already,so i know how u feel.I think your paying the price for too much excitement yesyerday.kinda same thing here. I went to gun show with kids and hubby,walked around for a while then the pain beginning with the butt area , so i ended up waiting in the car, took my meds and a nap and rested when we got home,so I could fell better so that I could go to a dinner and church,so today i pay the consequences, i havent done anything,just cook lunch and take daughter to school.Its 6;30pm of Monday I didnt do any home blessing activity ,im going to try to do 15 of today mission in the bathroom. feel better
