Antiprocrastination Day!

Today is Wednesday, December 12, 2012 or 12-12-12.  There will be all kinds of things going on today.  Stores will have special sales for today is one example.  What I will be doing is my Antiprocrastination project of paperwork, Refrigerator Boogie, and Meal Planning.  On this special day I am also going to make a big batch of chili so I can freeze and have accessible whenever I have a craving for this.

How am I going to do this all?  Well, for one thing I am going to put on one of my favorite CDs and start to “Dance Till I FLY!”

You see, today I am not only going to concentrate on the daily habits that I have established.  I am also going to practice my weekly habit for Wednesdays and I listed them above.  This is what I will only be doing.  I don’t want to have a SHE day like I did yesterday.

Why Did I Become A SHE Yesterday?
I did not get a good night sleep.  I was already concerned with the way roads were going to be for my eye doctor appointment.  Years ago I hit black ice and am very lucky to be alive so I always have unsettling feelings the first blizzard of the season.  Instead of trusting my instinct and just calling in the morning and rescheduling, I decided to stay into indecision something SHE (Sidetracked Home Executive) are very good at.  We also feel miserable with it but it is a habit that is so ingrained in us.  It is also one habit in the coming year that we are going to break.  How?  While we are going to “Dance Till You FLY!”  Dance seems to get those endorphins circulating in our system and that’s how “Aha Moments” are created!

Take Time To Reflect
Hind sight is 20/20 and I don’t know why more of us don’t take time to reflect on how our day went.  I am learning to do that.  It seems though we are always looking ahead.  And the one place we never seem to do is stay in is the “Present Moment.”  That is also what “Dance Till You FLY!” will be about.  We need to slow ourselves down in our minds, have a simple set of stepping stones that will keep our homes and our lives in motion to get the important things done.

Put on some music you like and “Dance Till You FLY!”  I know I am going to!
